It is freely available to eligible users within the USC community and provides advanced antimalware and antivirus capabilities to personal devices owned by USC. VPN Instructions using different Operating Systems:

Make sure you have working internet at home
( wifi or ethernet).

Connect to USC’s Virtual Private Network (VPN)

If you are having problem connection to VPN, use the new instructions.

To open the Microsoft Remote Desktop (RDP) application,press the ( Window key + R) together.In the Open: text field, enter mstsc and press the enter key or click on the OK button.

Alternatively, you can press the Window key, and type, Remote Desktop, and press Enter.

If you have not already done so, be sure to download and install the Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 from your AppStore first. (Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 requires version OS 10.12 and above).

To open the Microsoft Remote Desktop (RDP) application,
Click on the Spotlight search icon at the top press the
(⌘ Command key + spacebar) together.

In the Spotlight Search box type in Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 to find the application.
Run the application.

Enter work computer IP or Hostname and click on the Connect button.

Enter the credentials you use to log into your work computer.

If you are on the Med Domain you must type medyourusername in the user name box.(For example if your USC Nest ID is: ttrojan, it would be medttrojan).

If you are on the PrevMed Domain you must type prevmedyourusername in the user name box.(For example if your USC Nest ID is: ttrojan, it would be prevmedttrojan).

You should now be connected now.
